✅ How licensing works

Once you have installed Liberation on your computer it will run in free mode until you authorise it.

In addition to the number of lasers you can arm, you can also use DMX fixtures. See DMX / Art-Net.

There is also a limit to the number of computers you can authorise Liberation on, depending on your licence tier.

Internet connectivity

Liberation's licensing and authorisation works over the internet; the app connects to our server to associate an installation with your paid licence.

Once you're authorised, you don't need to be online again until your recurring licence reaches its next payment date (shown in the About panel). Monthly recurring licences usually include a short grace period (7 days), but you should go online as soon as possible after the payment date to keep your paid features available without interruption.

The grace period is for renewal and payment issues. It does not extend licences that have been cancelled, or deliberately paused, after the paid period ends. If a payment fails, update your card details within the grace period to keep paid features available.

The current licence tier is also shown in the top bar. Click the tier name, or FREE MODE when unlicensed, to open the About panel.
